About
Bitkoliko is an independent cryptocurrency price comparison site for the Balkans. Behind it is a small team of crypto enthusiasts from the region who wanted the site they could not find themselves: prices in dinars, marks and denars, in a language they understand, and without ads that open over the screen.
What we do differently
- No ads, no pop-ups, no video that starts by itself. The page opens straight away and shows a number.
- No accounts. We ask for no sign-up, no email, and we build no profile of you.
- Prices in local currencies. Not in a side calculator — in the table itself.
- When we do not know something, it says so. An empty field beats a copied number.
Where the data comes from
Prices and market data come from CoinGecko. Local currency rates are taken once a day from a public exchange-rate source, so that part of the conversion is older than the price itself — and every page says so.
Exchange fees are read from their official price lists, and every figure carries the date it was read. Where we could not read a price list reliably, it says “not verified” instead of a number.
We do not write or rewrite news — we show headlines from local and foreign media, with the source named, and the click goes to their article.
When the figures were last checked
We currently state 17 figures about other companies’ fees. Exchange fees and local exchange-office margins carry a verification date — the oldest 25 August 2026, the newest 6 September 2026. Each one on the site shows that date and a link to the document it came from.
Alongside those are the SEPA transfer tariffs of 11 banks. Those carry the date the tariff takes effect not the date we read it — which is why they are listed separately; some take effect only later, and that is noted next to them.
What we do when they go stale. Fees do not change often, but they change quietly — with no announcement and no change of the price list’s address. So we do not copy a figure from memory but from the official document, and we keep a snapshot of it. When the source changes a number, the date next to it changes too; if we cannot read it reliably, it says “not verified” instead of a number. Zero is not an answer — zero is a claim.
A marketing page is not a price list. A sentence like “fees from just 0.95 %” is the lowest item in the most favourable table, not the price paid by someone buying for the first time. So we take figures from the tariff document, not from the front page — and where the two differ, the site shows the one from the tariff.
How we make money
Some links to exchanges may be affiliate links: if you register through them, we receive a commission. That does not change the price for you, and it does not change the order or the content of our tables. Where links are affiliate, it says so above the link and not in small print at the bottom — the disclosure is printed from the same data the link is built from, so it cannot appear where there is no affiliate link.
We do not sell ad space, we do not sell placement in the table, and we do not show sponsored cryptocurrencies.
